Job summary

The City of Friendswood is seeking a Paramedic I to render Basic and Advanced Life Support and emergency medical techniques. You will operate and maintain the ambulance and station, and participate in continuing education for medical and industry advancements.

Responsibilities include pre-hospital care, triage, and invasive and non-invasive therapies under medical direction, ambulance driving, and coordination with FVFD.

Qualifications

• TDSHS EMTP or LP certification required.
• ITLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Texas driver's license and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year EMT-paramedic 911 experience.

Responsibilities

• Render pre-hospital emergency care per protocol.
• Perform BLS/ALS at basic and advanced life support levels.
• Operate and maintain assigned ambulance and station.
• Lead CPR, first aid, and public health training for others.
• Coordinate with FVFD and other agencies during emergencies.
• Document daily activities and patient records.
