The City of West University Place is seeking a dedicated firefighter/paramedic to provide emergency support for fires and medical incidents. The role includes readiness for dispatch, responding to emergencies, operating apparatus, and maintaining safety for staff and the public.

You will complete incident reports, participate in training, and support station operations. Candidates must have TCFP Basic Structural Firefighter certification and paramedic credential, pass background checks, and meet

Aufgaben

Responds to fire suppression, hazard mitigation, victim rescue, and medical emergencies; maintains readiness for emergency call response; extinguishes fires and provides medical care.
Ensures condition, maintenance, and appearance of apparatus and equipment; prepares for immediate response.
Prepares, maintains, and updates incident and other reports and documentation.
Participates in training drills, safety checks, and physical fitness activities; educates staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.
Participates in daily station functions, including housekeeping, cooking, and related duties.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
