Job summary

Marquette General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Paramedic for Rampart EMS in Escanaba. This part-time/PRN role requires emergency response, patient assessment and stabilization from scene to hospital care.

You will navigate and operate the ambulance, coordinate with medical staff and maintain equipment. You must meet Michigan Paramedic licensing requirements, hold a valid Michigan driver’s license and have BLS-HCP/ACLS, with PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Paramedic course completion and Michigan Paramedic license required.
• Minimum 6 months EMS field experience preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver's license.
• BLS-HCP and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls and provides patient care as directed.
• Safely navigates ambulance to scene; stabilizes and requests assistance as needed.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient history from available sources.
• Administers emergency medical care from scene to receiving facility.
• Contacts medical personnel and reports observations per directives from supervisors.
• Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance as necessary.
