Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics for full-time roles in Texas, offering immediate start and sign-on bonuses. Responsibilities include on-scene patient care, leadership of the Paramedic team, and ambulance operations during 911 responses.

Required are Paramedic licenses, a valid driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic certifications; a high school diploma or GED is also required. Driving record must meet policy, and agility testing is mandatory.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
State Paramedic License.
State Driver's License.
BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications.
Driving record compliant with company policy.
Pass Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably healthcare.

Responsibilities

Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action following Paramedic protocols.
Use medical equipment and procedures (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) to provide advanced care.
Communicate with patients and families to relay care and reassurance.
Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
Collaborate with allied health, public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
