Baptist Health Hardin in Kentucky is seeking a full-time Paramedic to join our Transport EMS team. This 36-hour-per-week role involves delivering advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care during transport and coordinating with medical staff to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate holds a Kentucky Paramedic license, BLS, and PALS/ACLS certifications, and is capable of operating ALS equipment while documenting care accurately. Join a team committed to patient-centered excellence.

Qualifications

• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• BLS certification.
• PALS & ACLS certifications issued by AHA or ARC.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care within the medical director approved department protocols and state scope of practice.
• Recognizes, responds to, and communicates changes in patient condition appropriately.
• Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation and patient care reports within required timeframe.
• Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains the environment of care.
• Performs ambulance transportation services within the scope of practice of a Paramedic.
• Sets priorities for the transport of multiple patients.
• Assures resources and coordinates plan of delivery.
• Maintains knowledge and familiarity with each vehicle in fleet in order to operate smooth and safely.
• Assures ambulance is clean, stocked and response ready at the beginning and end of every shift as well as prior to each and every request for service.
• Ensures proper vehicle maintenance and equipment readiness as well as proper ALS gear readiness and utilization.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Active Paramedic license through the Kentucky Board of EMS at time of consideration.
• BLS certification.
• PALS & ACLS certification issued by AHA or ARC.
• Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• Valid driver’s license.
