Job summary

VCU Health Systems seeks an experienced Emergency Department Paramedic to deliver advanced in‑hospital emergency care under a licensed physician. The role supports trauma and critical care resuscitations, airway management prep, and rapid patient throughput.

Ideal candidates hold EMT‑P/Paramedic certification in Virginia and AHA ACLS, with readiness for diverse shifts, weekends and holidays. Emergency care will include patient transport and data collection in a high‑acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Current EMT‑P/Paramedic certification/licensure in Virginia.
• AHA ACLS Certification.
• Ability to use protocols and SOPs to deliver emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-hospital emergency care under supervision.
• Support trauma and critical care resuscitations and airway management prep.
• Assist with patient transport, medication handling, and data documentation.

Skills

EMT-P/Paramedic certification
