Job summary

Garden City Hospital in Michigan seeks a dedicated Paramedic to join the Emergency Department team. You will provide high‑quality patient care, communicate changes to the physician, and respond rapidly to evolving conditions.

The role is Full Time with a Variable shift, requiring state licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS/ENPC, plus at least 1 year of EMS or acute care experience. On-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Current paramedic license issued by the State of Michigan.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required at hire and kept current.
• ACLS required within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS and/or ENPC required within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year as a paramedic in EMS or acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department and communicate changes in condition to physicians.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status and treatment response.
• Adhere to EMTALA regulations and report child/adult abuse when required.

Responsibilities

The paramedic is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patients clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. The Paramedic will do other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid paramedic license issued by the State of Michigan.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC required 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a paramedic in an EMS or acute care hospital preferred.
