Job summary

Monroe Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is a 32-bed community hospital in Bloomington, IN. We are seeking a Paramedic to join the ED team on night shifts, delivering triage, assessment, education, and care planning under supervision.

Qualified candidates will hold a State Paramedic license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificates, with at least one year of paramedic experience preferred. This role supports a patient-centered approach in a recognized hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current state Paramedic Licensure required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate required.
• One year experience as Paramedic preferred.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, assessment, patient education, and care planning for ED patients under supervision.
• Assist in delivering patient care within scope and maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with ED RN or physician for patient care and plan of care.

Responsibilities

Paramedic is responsible for the triage, assessment, patient education, and patient plan of care for patients in the ED, under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician. Assists with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice; Assists in maintenance of a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
