Job summary

Pulaski County Ambulance District is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our emergency response team in Missouri. You will provide advanced pre-hospital care, respond to various calls, and support patients with sound judgment and compassion.

Responsibilities include ALS on-scene care, patient stabilization, transport, documentation, and collaboration with dispatch and hospital staff. You will adhere to protocols and participate in ongoing training while working varied shifts.

Qualifications

  • Current Paramedic certification/licensure in good standing.
  • CPR certification and life support credentials.
  • EMS experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment and decision-making under pressure.
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients and teams.
  • Proficient with EMS equipment and documentation systems.
  • Able to work nights/weekends/holidays/on-call.
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our emergency response team. In this role, you will provide advanced pre-hospital medical care, respond to emergency calls, and support patients during critical situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and respect.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls and assess patient conditions on scene.
  • Provide advanced life support, including patient assessment, airway management, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and emergency interventions within scope of practice.
  • Stabilize patients and safely transport them to appropriate medical facilities.
  • Document patient care clearly and accurately in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, healthcare providers, and emergency personnel during patient care and handoff.
  • Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and ensure vehicle readiness.
  • Follow established protocols, safety procedures, and infection prevention practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to support efficient, high-quality emergency response services.
  • Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic certification or licensure in good standing, as required by the state or jurisdiction.
  • Current CPR certification and any additional required life support credentials.
  • Experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital care, or a related clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using emergency medical equipment and documentation systems.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and assist patients safely in emergency environments.
