Job summary

American Ambulance Central Florida is seeking a Paramedic EMT-P to deliver high-quality EMS care in Field Operations based in Kissimmee, FL. The role includes tuition reimbursement for paramedic schooling and requires current EMT-P certification, a valid driver's license, and strong English communication.

You will respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls, provide BLS and ALS care, ensure accurate records, maintain equipment and uphold safety standards while serving the community.

Qualifications

• Must have EMT-P certification and valid driver's license.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations with a partner, ensuring safe operation and public safety.
• Responds to assigned calls promptly to assess scene and request help as needed.
• Provides BLS patient care per procedures and local protocols.
• Provides ALS operations, overseeing patient assessment, packaging and transport.
• Completes medical records and transportation reports.
• Maintains knowledge of current EMT standards of care and equipment use.
• Complies with safety standards to protect all involved.
• Maintains positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals and public.
• Maintains knowledge of local geography and mapping systems.
• Keeps units and equipment clean, organized and ready after each response.
• Ensures proper fuel, fluids and tire pressure.
• Reports equipment damage or malfunctions as prescribed.
• Completes station duties and maintains crew quarters.
• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor on duty.
