Job summary

American Ambulance Central Florida is hiring a Paramedic to join the Field Operations team in Lake County, FL. You will operate emergency and non-emergency ambulance services with a partner, provide ALS/BLS care, and complete transport documentation.

Qualified candidates must be 18+, hold a High School diploma or GED, and be fluent in English. Tuition reimbursement for Paramedic schooling is available as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and non-emergency ambulance operations with a partner, ensuring safety and proper positioning of the unit.
• Responds to all assigned calls promptly and assesses scene safety and needs.
• Performs BLS patient care per local protocols and clinical practices.
• Provides ALS operations, including patient assessment, packaging and transport.
• Completes medical records and transportation reports.
• Maintains knowledge of EMT standards and equipment function.
• Follows safety guidelines to protect personnel, patients and equipment.
• Maintains positive relationships with colleagues, EMS reps and hospitals.
• Maintains knowledge of local geography and station procedures.
• Ensures units and equipment are ready after each response.
