Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Austin, TX is seeking a part-time Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse). You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under physician guidance.

Responsibilities include evaluating donor reactions, following SOPs for emergencies, and supporting vaccination and occupational health programs. Prior clinical experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensure requirements and FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of plasma collection regulations and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees when applicable.
• Assist with EHS initiatives and incident reporting.
