Edward Ambulance Services in Naperville, IL seeks a Paramedic (EMT-P) to provide medical care and transport under medical direction. The role requires 18+ years, IL EMT-P certification, and a valid driver's license, with pre-employment testing and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS Diploma or GED.
• IL State EMT-P certification.
• Tested into or will test into Edward Hospital EMS System.
• Valid Driver’s License & good driving record.
• Consent to criminal background check.
• Pass the pre-employment testing including a complete physical & lifting agility examination along with a successful interview.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care to patients in the transport environment under the direction of the Program Medical Director and the referring and/or receiving Physician.
• Autonomously evaluate critically ill or injured patients of all age groups, provide therapeutic intervention, emergency interventions, and preparation for transport.
• Collaborate with other team members including drivers, leadership, and healthcare partners.
• Assess for changes in patient status and address family concerns.
• Plan, organize and position equipment for use in emergencies before, during, and after transport.
• Maintain complete and accurate records and participate in quality assurance programs.

Education
