Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ACLS;BLS;PALS;EMT-P Indiana Paramedic license required.
• PALS or its equivalency to be obtained within initial probationary period.
• EVOC or its equivalency must be obtained within initial probationary period.
• NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 to be obtained with initial probationary period.
• Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Relay and receive information regarding patient and patient condition.
• Comply with regulatory requirements, departmental policy, safety policies, and hospital policies.
• Operate within the Indiana Paramedic scope and obtain informed consent when required.
• May drive ambulance to and from referral hospital and may transport patients.
• May record time of ambulance run and process billing and daily reports.
