Job summary

The University of Virginia UVA Health system is seeking EMT-Paramedic professionals to support clinical operations and emergency transport in Charlottesville, working with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to deliver urgent patient care and rapid stabilization.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, advanced life support experience preferred, Virginia EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic licensure, a valid driver’s license with 2 years driving, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• No experience required; advanced life support experience preferred.
• Virginia EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic licensure required; Paramedic preferred.
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and at least 2 years driving experience.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS required; EVOC Level II+ within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent medical care and stabilize patients.
• Support diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural activities in clinical operations.
• Ensure safe transport of patients to healthcare facilities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient care.
