Job summary

Jan-Care Ambulance, Inc. is seeking a Paramedic to provide safe and compassionate ambulance and medical transportation while preserving patient dignity and community safety.

Responsibilities include out-of-hospital care, adherence to WV EMS rules, and responding to emergency calls. The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and valid WV EMS certifications. A strong teamwork mindset and professional conduct are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Successful completion of Workforce evaluations and/or equivalent educational screening.
• EVO'S must maintain a valid driver's license with good driving history as determined by our insurance company.
• Jan-Care/GEMS are a drug-free company and employees must pass initial and random screenings.
• Background checks including OIG, Criminal History, Driving History, Child/Elder Abuse, Reference.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and EMS operations training sessions.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport per WV EMS protocols.
• Maintain EMS certification and required programs.
• Respond to emergencies and assist other personnel as required.
• Perform event stand-by operations at community events.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain professional appearance and upkeep of stations and ambulances.
