Job summary

Ascension's Evansville location seeks a Paramedic for our Critical Care Transport team. You will provide ICU-level care during patient transit and coordinate with transport RNs and physicians.

Responsibilities include stabilizing critically ill or injured patients, communicating clear handoffs, and maintaining readiness of transport equipment. Requires Indiana Paramedic credential and ALS/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• ALS/BLS certifications required within specified timeframes.
• Paramedic credential from Indiana DHS required before hire.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time EMS Paramedic experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; alternative is assoc/technical degree or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Prefer pediatric ALS and advanced trauma life support credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead life-saving interventions and stabilize critically ill patients during transit.
• Collaborate with transport RN and physicians to provide ICU-level care in motion.
• Communicate patient narratives clearly to receiving teams for seamless handoffs.
• Maintain readiness of transport equipment and ensure safety during transport.
