Job summary

Trans-Care Ambulance is seeking an EMT-Paramedic to provide the highest level of medical care and transportation within Indiana's EMS framework. The Paramedic brings hospital-level care to the field and coordinates with physicians to ensure uninterrupted treatment during transport.

Responsibilities include performing required EMS procedures, adhering to medical direction, and maintaining equipment, documentation, and confidentiality while working within Trans-Care policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid IN State Driver's License.
• State of Indiana EMT-Paramedic Certification.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Current PALS Certification.
• Pass State of Indiana Criminal Background Check.
• Pass Indiana BMV Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• Satisfactory performance of all EMS skills as designed by the Indiana EMS Commission curriculum.
• Meet Trans-Care's Medical Direction for affiliation and clinical oversight.
• Operate within the Standard of Care Protocol and physician orders.
• Follow Trans-Care policies and procedures.
• Respond to EMS calls as assigned by the communications center.
• Oversee vehicle operation with the partner per Indiana rules and Trans-Care policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per PHI/privacy policies.
• Pre-shift checks of equipment and certify all required ALS gear is on unit.
• Maintain in-service education as prescribed by the Indiana State EMT Agency.
• Report vehicle problems and submit correction reports as required.
