Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certified Paramedic with a minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in a health care environment.
• Within six months of hire date, must successfully pass online course modules, phlebotomy training and skills validation for basic and advanced skills, and EKG training.
• Successful completion of the Emergency Department Technician unit specific training and competency demonstration within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Supports the ED team to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Maintains compliance with MUHA policies and participates in required training and certifications.
