Job summary

Harnett County EMS is seeking a Paramedic to provide advanced life support, stabilization, and transport for emergency and non-emergency calls. You will work in a two-person ambulance crew, directing care and ensuring adherence to county protocols and medical director guidance.

Responsibilities include administering medications, performing airway management, documenting patient care, and training new staff. Candidates must hold NC Paramedic Certification and a valid NC driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT or AEMT experience desirable.
• North Carolina driver’s license required.
• Paramedic certification from NC EMS required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as paramedic in charge on calls and oversee EMTs/AEMTs.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls in ambulance or quick response vehicle.
• Administer medications and perform CPR and airway management.
• Maintain documentation for patient care and billing.
• Participate in ongoing training and protocol compliance.
