Job summary

Ogden Regional Medical Center's Free Standing ER in Syracuse, Utah is seeking a Paramedic to join a high-acuity team on 12-hour shifts (mixed days and nights). You will work with physicians and nurses to deliver rapid emergency care and stabilize patients in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ACLS, BCLS, PALS and Paramedic certification; you will perform advanced procedures, monitor rhythms, assist with intubations, and collaborate with EMS teams to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

  • ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained within specified timelines.
  • Paramedic license required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clear communication with physician and nurse about patient care.
  • Assist with exams or treatments and observe/report signs.
  • Take vital signs, track input/output.
  • Attach monitors, monitor rhythm, perform 12-lead EKG, document findings.
  • Receive patients from EMS and prepare for physician care.
  • Collect specimens and perform basic lab procedures.
  • Assist with ED procedures including line insertions, intubations, chest procedures, airway management.
  • Perform CPR, defibrillation, cardioversion, and pacing during emergencies.

Free Standing ER -Syracuse, Utah (12hr shifts -mixed days & nights)

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • You will maintain clear communication with the attending physician and licensed nurse assigned to patient about all patient care issues.
  • You will assist with patient examinations or treatments and observe and report patients’ signs or symptoms.
  • You will take vital signs and measure and record patient input and output.
  • You will attach oxygen and cardiac monitors. You will monitor patient cardiac rhythm, perform 12 lead EKG, document EKG strips, suction patient airways as directed, and report findings to physician and care team assigned to patient.
  • You will receive patients from EMS personnel and prepare patients for the physician’s care.
  • You will collect routine laboratory specimens as directed by the physician and perform basic laboratory procedures.
  • You will assist emergency department physicians with patient examinations and treatments including central line insertions, lumbar punctures, defibrillation, cardioversion, chest tube insertion, thoracentesis, arterial lines, suturing, needle chest decompressions, endotracheal and nasotracheal intubation, insertion of intraosseous lines, endotracheal suctioning, inserting Foley catheters, and securing airways through insertion of oral/nasal airway devices.
  • You will perform CPR, defibrillation, cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing during emergencies.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
