Job summary

Garden City Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, seeks a paramedic to join an award‑winning team in the Emergency Department. You will contribute to high‑quality patient care, communicate with physicians about changes in clinical condition, and respond quickly to evolving situations.

This full‑time role requires Michigan Paramedic license, BCLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC within 90 days, and at least one year of EMS or acute care experience; EMTALA knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid paramedic license issued by the State of Michigan.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS within 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS and/or ENPC required within 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a paramedic in an EMS or acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• The paramedic is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. He / She communicates with the physician about the changes in the patients clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment.
• The Paramedic will do other duties as assigned.
