Full Time: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the following

12 hour shifts

Every Other Weekend

Position Highlights
  • Professional Med Team Ambulance is an Advanced Life Support licensed ambulance service. We support life pre‑hospital with cardiac monitor, intubation, oxygen, IVs with medication as necessary, and other lifesaving measures.

Requirements
  • Current Paramedic license from the State of Michigan.
  • Certification in ACLS, BTLS, and CPR.
  • Valid Michigan motor vehicle operating license with a safe driving history.
  • Articulates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of MH.
Responsibilities
  • Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures or need for additional assistance.
  • Restore and stabilize heart rhythm on pulseless, non‑breathing patients.
  • Monitor cardiac patients.
  • Initiate intravenous fluids or medications to replace fluid loss.
  • Perform endotracheal intubation to open airways and ventilate patient.
  • Administer injections of medications, drugs or immunizations.
  • Provide initial treatment at emergency scene and record patient vital signs.
  • Provide medical examination and screening consistent with Medical Control Authority Protocols.
  • Assist in extricating trapped victims and transport sick and injured persons to treatment center.
  • Lift and place patients on stretcher; restrain appropriately; move loaded stretcher into ambulance.
  • Observe, record, and report patient condition, response to drugs and significant incidents.
  • Remain in the back of ambulance with all patients.
  • Coordinate patient care between inter‑agency personnel and other company employees.
  • Operate Pro‑Med vehicles safely and professionally, attending to patient needs.
  • Communicate with physicians and other medical personnel via radio or telephone.
  • Complete all reports, including patient care records, legibly and promptly.
  • At each shift change, check medical/operating supplies and vehicle using Pro‑Med’s check‑list; inspect vehicle for readiness.
  • Perform all duties safely, courteously, confidentially, and professionally, prioritizing patient well‑being.
  • Maintain response readiness per company’s criteria.
  • Use safety and PPE equipment as required by law and company policies.
  • Maintain vehicles and quarters per Pro‑Med policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
