Job summary

AMR is hiring Paramedics in Bay Shore, NY to deliver high-quality emergency and patient relocation services. You will perform advanced medical care, operate equipment, and lead scenes when needed.

Requirements include NY Paramedic license, NY Driver’s license, REMAC credentials, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Competitive hourly pay with sign-on bonuses for full-time and part-time roles, plus referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• NY State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials are required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• Driving record must meet company policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best action using Paramedic protocols.
• Provide advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain care.

Starting pay is $32.73 per hour and up depending on years of experience!

$5K Sign-On Bonus for FT hires and $2.5K Sign-On Bonus for PT hires (paid over 6 months)!

Referral Bonus- employees will receive $5k for referring a FT Paramedic or $2.5k for a PT Paramedic (terms and conditions apply*)

Responsibilities:

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.

• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

OtherResponsibilities:

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
