Job summary

Global Medical Response is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in Bay Shore, NY. Starting pay is $20.35/hr and up based on experience. A referral bonus of $5k for a FT Paramedic hire or $2.5k for a PT Paramedic hire is offered.

EMTs respond to emergencies and non-emergencies, providing high-quality care and customer service. Minimum qualifications include NY EMT, REMAC credentials, CPR/BLS, a valid NY driver’s license, and ability to pass PAT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NY State EMT certification is required.
• Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials are required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• State Driver's License is required.
• PAT (Physical Ability Test) must be passed.
• Some healthcare work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide assessment of patients, determine needed care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and ensure stock is well organized.
• Use appropriate skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.

We'rehiringEmergency Medical Technicians(EMTs) that will respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

• EMTs provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, andtreatmentwhile maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providinga safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriateskills to provide care includingcommunications, medicalequipment, cleaningprocedures, office equipment, and tools.
• EMTs operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.

MinimumRequiredQualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Driver's License
• NY State EMT certification
• Nassau and Suffolk REMACcredentials
• CPR/BLS certification
• Driving record in compliance withcompanypolicy
• Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare is preferred
