Job summary

Prime Healthcare's Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX, is seeking a Paramedic (Emergency Care Technician) to assist with IV starts, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and airway management under hospital protocols. This full-time role supports trauma care, CPR, and patient transport alongside nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• EMT-P certification and ER experience preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• CPI training within 6 months of hire and renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG, and vital signs monitoring under supervision.
• Assist with airway management and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide wound care, splinting, and respond to medical emergencies as part of the team.
• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and aiding room turnover.
• Stock essential supplies and maintain readiness per hospital policy.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel during trauma care and high-acuity cases.

Location: Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, TX

We are seeking aParamedic,sometimesreferred to as ourEmergency Care Technician (ECT), Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech)orEmergencyRoomTechnician(ER Tech).AParamedic who willassistwith tasks like starting IVs, performing EKGs,monitoringvital signs, and supporting airway management.The Paramedicplaya key role in trauma care, CPR, and patient transport, working closely with nurses and physicians during emergencies.The Paramedic willuse many of their field skills,who willalways perform under hospital protocols and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signsmonitoringunder supervision

• Assistwith airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts

• Provide wound care, apply splints,assistwith suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies

• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units andassistingwith room turnover and preparation

• Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing aspermittedbyourhospital policy

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, andassistwith clinical procedures and transitions of care

Qualifications

• Basic EMT-P Registry and E.R. experience preferred*.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• CPI within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below):

• ACLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS certification upon hire and maintain current.
