Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Dallas is seeking a Paramedic to join the Emergency Care team at Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX. You will perform IV starts, EKGs, vital signs monitoring, and support airway management under hospital protocols and supervision.

The role includes trauma care, patient transport, and collaboration with nurses and physicians. Requires EMT-P and ER experience, with BCLS, CPI, ACLS/PALS as part of qualifications.

Qualifications

• Basic EMT-P Registry and ER experience preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• CPI within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, EKG acquisition, and continuous vital signs monitoring under supervision
• Assist with airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning, and support during advanced airway procedures and resuscitation efforts
• Provide wound care, apply splints, assist with suturing, and respond as part of the team during medical emergencies
• Support patient flow by transporting patients to diagnostic areas or inpatient units and assisting with room turnover and preparation
• Maintain clinical readiness by stocking essential supplies and performing point-of-care testing as permitted by our hospital policy
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and EMS personnel to support trauma care, high-acuity patient management, and assist with clinical procedures and transitions of care
