Job summary

Ascension St. Elizabeth in Appleton, WI is seeking a Paramedic to join Emergency Services on a PRN basis. The role includes assessing and treating patients, stabilizing conditions, and coordinating with physicians and the transport team.

Minimum requirements include Advanced Life Support and BLS certifications, a Wisconsin driver's license, and Paramedic credentialing. Two years of Paramedic experience is preferred. The position offers a supportive, mission-driven work environment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire or transfer date required
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire or transfer date required
• Wisconsin Driver's License required
• Paramedic credentialed from Wisconsin DHS required
• Pediatric ALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.
• Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes the ill or injured patient under physician/RN direction.
• Initiates and implements interventions based on transport team protocols; monitors and communicates patient condition and treatment.
• Provides education to patient and family about illness and therapies.
• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safety of transport team, patients and public.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provides basic and advanced life support treatment, care and evaluation of patients.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Drivers License credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Paramedic credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education:

What additional preferences we're seeking

Two years Paramedic experience required.
