Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Paralegal with title and survey experience to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The Paralegal will support the real estate finance practice group and requires strong commercial real estate experience in real estate finance or similar transactional experience. Key responsibilities and essential job functions include:

• Review and analyze title insurance commitments, pro forma, endorsements, and final policies.
• Examine title exceptions, easements, covenants, restrictions, liens, encroachments, and other matters affecting title.
• Prepare detailed title summaries, title objection letters, and clearance memoranda.
• Coordinate with title companies to resolve title defects and obtain required endorsements.
• Review ALTA/NSPS land title surveys and related documents.
• Identify and summarize survey matters including encroachments, boundary issues, access, easements, setbacks, and zoning matters.
• Compare surveys against title commitments to confirm consistency and note discrepancies.
• Assist attorneys in preparing survey objection letters and resolution items.
• Track satisfaction, release, and recording of liens and other title matters.
