Kutak Rock LLP is seeking an experienced public finance paralegal to join its Omaha, NE office. This role will provide direct assistance to department attorneys in preparing transaction documents and closing documents in connection with tax-exempt bond and loan transactions. You will be interacting directly with firm attorneys and clients and coordinating all aspects of closing multiple financings. This role is ideal for the highly organized professional.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare first drafts of basic documents, including resolutions, trust indentures, loan documents and closing documents and opinions, and revise such documents as necessary
• Coordinate the distribution of documents to clients and other interested parties
• Interact directly with firm attorneys, firm clients and opposing counsel
• Coordinate required filings with federal, state and local regulators and administrative offices
• Develop and maintain databases of related financings
• Coordinate closings, including monitoring and confirming the execution, delivery and completeness of all closing documents
• Prepare closing transcripts
• Handle routine correspondence and client inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities

• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and confidence to assume ownership of various tasks in the transactions
• Ability to assist in the preparation of bond and loan transaction documents
• Ability to coordinate with multiple parties in connection with closing a financing
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and meet critical deadlines
• Must be proficient with MS Word and Excel

QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved institution is preferred
• 2 years+ of experience or of relevant experience is preferred
