Marina Landscape, Inc. seeks an experienced Paralegal – Landscape Construction Industry to support public works contracts, bid processes, and regulatory compliance in Orange County.

The role partners with legal counsel on litigation support, contract administration, and risk management, requiring strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of Davis-Bacon, CEQA, and public procurement.

Qualifications

• Education: ABA-approved paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, public administration, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive paralegal experience in municipal or heavy construction law.
• Knowledge: Government contracting, public records laws (FOIA/state equivalents), lien laws.
• Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional contract drafting, proficiency with e-discovery platforms and contract management systems.

Responsibilities

• Public Contracting & Bidding: Draft/review construction agreements, bids, and consultant contracts, ensuring documents comply with local procurement codes and bidding requirements.
• Compliance Monitoring: Verify adherence to prevailing wage laws, local hiring, and labor standards; manage certified payrolls.
• Risk Management & Claims: Assist counsel with contractor claims, change orders, and equitable adjustment; track notices.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Support senior management in bid protests, mediation, litigation; manage discovery and case chronologies.
• Regulatory Research: Research land use, environmental regulations (CEQA), and zoning laws.
