Nova Ukraine is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support legal and compliance activities. This position involves assisting with contract reviews, maintaining filing systems, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; paralegal certification preferred.
2+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or compliance role, preferably in a nonprofit, government, or grant-funded organization.
Fluency in Ukrainian and Professional level of English.
Familiarity with U.S. nonprofit law, contracts, and data protection standards.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic document management tools.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts, grant agreements, and NDAs.
Support compliance with data protection and privacy requirements (Ukraine, U.S. laws).
Maintain and manage digital filing systems for legal and donor documentation.
Coordinate with internal program teams and external partners to gather and review documentation.
Conduct legal research and summarize findings related to nonprofit operations, employment, or international compliance.
Track contract deadlines, renewals, and reporting obligations.
Prepare templates for consent forms, waivers, and basic legal correspondence.
Support the Legal and Finance teams in audit preparation and reporting.

Knowledge of Ukrainian legal context
Prior experience supporting donor-funded projects (e.g., USAID, IREX, Tetra Tech, etc.)

Remote work (U.S.-based preferred).
