Paralegal - M&A Product Regulatory Compliance

Fully Remote

Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Pay Rate: Up to $70/hr W2

We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal - M&A Product Regulatory Compliance to support our legal team during a large M&A integration, focusing on product regulatory compliance and reviews. This critical role will ensure seamless regulatory compliance across diverse product portfolios while facilitating smooth business transitions.

Key Responsibilities of Paralegal - M&A Product Regulatory Compliance:

Product Team Interface & Analysis

  • Work directly with product managers to gather technical information, product documentation, and operational data needed for regulatory responses
  • Analyze and synthesize complex product data to identify information relevant and responsive to regulatory requests
  • Research applicable regulations across multiple jurisdictions where the merged entity will operate

Document Management & Organization

  • Gather and organize product-related documentation including regulatory filings, permits, licenses, and compliance records
  • Create and maintain comprehensive databases and tracking systems for regulatory documents
  • Ensure all materials are accessible for due diligence and integration planning
  • Review product portfolios to identify regulatory approvals, certifications, and registrations (FDA, EPA, CE markings, etc.)
  • Flag potential regulatory risks including expired licenses, non-compliance issues, and jurisdictional differences
  • Prepare detailed summary reports and memos for attorneys and business teams

Integration & Compliance Management

  • Serve as liaison between legal teams, regulatory affairs, product teams, and external consultants
  • Track timelines and deliverables for regulatory submissions and renewals
  • Monitor ongoing compliance during integration and help prepare responses to regulatory inquiries
  • Review contracts with suppliers and distributors to identify regulatory obligations

Required Qualifications of Paralegal - M&A Product Regulatory Compliance:

  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent education/experience
  • 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in regulatory or corporate law
  • Experience with M&A transactions or regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of FDA, EPA, or other regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to interface with product teams to gather technical information and documentation
  • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize complex information for regulatory responses
  • Familiarity with product development processes and technical documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with document management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments
