Stark & Stark is actively hiring a Paralegal for our Nursing Home Negligence Group in our Hamilton, NJ office. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll work closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to deliver excellent results on behalf of the people we represent. If you’re ready to do challenging work in a fast-paced, collegial environment, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:Draft and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and procedural motions.Manage case timelines and deadlines.Maintain professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and relevant third parties.Perform accurate data entry and case updates in Filevine.Support case investigations by identifying at-fault parties and assessing liability.Communicate with clients to gather information on injuries, treatment, and financial losses.Analyze medical records, billing documentation, and related materials to support liability and damages claims.Identify and evaluate applicable health insurance coverage and potential liens.Draft demand letters and other legal documents; strong writing skills required.Prepare cases for settlement, litigation, and trial, including exhibit and visual aid creation.The preferred candidate will have at least two years of civil litigation experience; entry-level candidates with a strong interest in personal injury law are also encouraged to apply.Experience in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury matters is preferred.Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate required.Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.The ideal candidate will be self-directed, and detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.Able to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain a high level of discretion, judgment, confidentiality, professional and ethical standards in communications with both external and internal parties.Well organized and able to see an assignment through to successful conclusion.Able to think analytically and solve problems with little direction.Able to demonstrate a customer service demeanor regardless of the person or issue at hand.Ability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in the legal field.Compensation & BenefitsStark & Stark is committed to the health and well-being of its staff members.
