Job summary

CGSFederal is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced legal team in a full-time mid-level role. You will support OGC and attorneys with a variety of tasks including document review, legal research, drafting, and discovery management.

The position requires a paralegal certificate or JD (or current ABA-law school student) and at least two years of litigation experience, with proficiency in eDiscovery tools and research platforms.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD, or current ABA-accredited law school student.
• Two or more years of litigation paralegal experience required.
• One year of automated litigation support experience required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
• Excellent written and oral communication and legal research skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support reporting to OGC and assist LITB/IALB with guidance.
• Research and locate responsive information, laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
• Perform moderately complex legal research and draft memos and correspondence.
• Assist in preparing motions, briefs, and other legal documents; assist attorneys with litigation.
• Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs.
• Maintain case management records, generate reports, and track case assignments.
