Bowman and Brooke LLP in Troy, MI seeks a experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our national product liability practice. You will support trial teams with document preparation, discovery, and medical record review, ensuring timely updates to attorneys and precise billing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and proofread documents (pleadings, correspondence, agreements).
• Support litigation progress with regular status updates to attorneys.
• Assist with discovery including requests, depositions, subpoenas.
• Assist with document review and analysis across platforms.
• Manage electronic case files using iManage.
• Prepare for trial: materials, witnesses, subpoenas, exhibits, attendance.
• Gather and analyze medical records to prepare chronologies.

To meet client demands, we continue to expand our team of professionals. That’s where you come in! We are actively searching for aLitigation Paralegal to join ourTroy, MI office. Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements, and pleadings).
• Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
• Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions, and issuing subpoenas.
• Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
• Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
• Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing, and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial).
• Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronologies.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 4+ years’ litigation defense experiencerequired.
