Bowman and Brooke LLP in Austin or Plano, TX is seeking a Trial Ready Litigation Paralegal to join our team. Our paralegals support case teams on high exposure, technically intricate lawsuits, preparing pleadings, coordinating discovery and managing electronic files.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate, have 4+ years of litigation defense experience, and are proficient with iManage, able to travel nationwide for trial, and follow client billing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and proofread documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings).

• Prepare for trial, including coordinating witnesses and exhibits.
• Gather and analyze complex medical records to prepare chronologies.

We are actively searching for a Trial Ready Litigation Paralegal to join our team in either our Austin or Plano, TX office. Our paralegals play a vital role on our case teams and are respected for their ideas and contributions.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings).
• Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.
• Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas.
• Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.
• Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.
• Prepare for trial (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial).
• Gather and analyze complex medical records needed to prepare medical chronologies.

Education And Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years’ litigation defense experience required
