Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or certificate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a legal environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing responses to foreclosure actions, bankruptcy actions, and other process-oriented legal responses.
• Track status of foreclosure cases and Sheriff sales involving IHCDA.
• Prepare contracts, mortgage releases, reports, budgets, and internal communications.
• Sort, analyze, and distribute mail within the legal department.
• Assist Legal Counsel with word processing, filing and document transmittal services.
• Transmit legal correspondence to clients, outside counsel, and court officials by various channels.
• Manage special projects, coordinate meetings, and maintain case files.
• Update Sharepoint contracts database as needed.
• Perform records research and draft contracts and amendments.
