Job summary

North Carolina Department of Justice, Transportation Division, seeks a Paralegal I to coordinate highway condemnation actions in NC superior courts and assist attorney filing teams. Qualifications

• Education/experience equivalency is allowed (see guide).
• Graduation from paralegal program or Bachelor's with paralegal exp.
• Experience performing delegated, substantive legal work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate highway condemnation actions across NC superior courts.
• Assist attorneys by researching and compiling legally relevant information.
• Coordinate with DOT Right of Way Unit and other agencies to gather case data.
• Ensure proper filing of actions with court officials statewide.
• Work under supervision of Attorney III in the Condemnation Section.
