Job summary

Cipriani & Werner P.C. in Iselin, NJ is seeking a General Liability Paralegal to support a fast-paced defense team. The role involves preparing subpoenas, reviewing discovery, and handling medical records with diligence in an in-person setting.

Required: paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years as a New York defense paralegal; NY experience is essential, NJ experience preferred. Familiarity with NY NYCHA/E-track, NJ ECourts, and PACER is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a New York defense paralegal required.
• Experience working NY cases required; NJ cases preferred.
• Proficiency with NY NYCHA/E-track, NJ ECourts and PACER preferred.
• Experience in commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident and product liability preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.

• Perform verdict searches, docket searches, social media and background searches.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

This is an in-person position.

The salary range for this position is $60,000-$85,000 and represents C&W’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend upon a number of factors, included but not limited to experience and qualifications.
