Job summary

Kimball Tirey & St. John LLP in San Diego or Concord seeks a Paralegal to support the Fair Housing Practice Group with document prep, research, and general legal administrative tasks. This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring strong writing and organization.

You will handle opening/closing matters, editing, billing, electronic filing, and order fulfillment for Fair Housing publications and forms; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in a law firm as a paralegal or equivalent legal support staff.
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated drafting of legal documents.
  • Professional communication via telephone and email.
  • Typing speed of 65 wpm and strong computer skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of documents for attorneys (letters, agreements, document reviews).
  • Research case law, administrative rulings and settlements on fair housing issues.
  • General legal and administrative support for Fair Housing Practice Group, including opening/closing matters, editing, billing, e-filing.
  • Order fulfillment of Fair Housing online store purchases (publications and forms).
  • Additional legal and administrative support as needed.

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our fast-paced Fair Housing team in either our San Diego or Concord office. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.We currently offer an in-office/hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm.
