Kimball, Tirey & St. John LLP is seeking a Paralegal to support the Fair Housing Practice Group in our Concord or San Diego office, providing legal and administrative support and ensuring timely production of all requested work product.

The ideal candidate holds a Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) with 3+ years of law-firm experience, excellent writing, and strong communication skills. ProLaw experience and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience in a law firm as a paralegal or equivalent legal support staff.
• Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents.
• Professional communication skills via telephone and email.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute; versatile computer skills.
• Must provide writing samples showcasing writing style.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of documents for attorneys (letters, agreements, document reviews).
• Research case law, administrative rulings and settlements and other fair housing issues as needed.
• General legal and administrative support for Fair Housing Practice Group, including, but not limited to: opening and closing Fair Housing matters, editing and proofreading documents and sending correspondence, billing, electronic filing.
• Order fulfillment of Fair Housing online store purchases (for items on the FH fee schedule listed as publications and forms only).
• Additional legal and administrative support as needed by the practice group.
