Job summary

ARKRAY seeks a Contracts Administrator to draft, negotiate and manage a variety of agreements including purchase, master service and licensing contracts. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interface with Legal, Sales, Marketing and Finance to reflect current pricing and ARKRAY terms.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS from an ABA-approved program (or equivalent), 3+ years in contracts administration, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from ABA-approved legal program or equivalent with paralegal certificate or JD preferred.
  • 3+ years of business experience, preferably in contracts administration.
  • Contract creation, negotiation, and administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and maintenance of various contract agreements such as Purchase, Master Consumable, Service Policy, Installation Set Up and Training.
  • Negotiate contract terms and administer ongoing contract administration.
  • Maintain tracking logs for USL instruments, licenses, leases and related logs.
  • Create renewal contracts 90 days before expiration and follow up at 60, 30, and expiration.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Sales, Marketing and Finance to reflect pricing and ARKRAY terms.
  • Assist Legal with leases, legal research, and compliance issues as needed.
  • Create contracts for new products and update tracking logs accordingly.
  • Interface with management and sales to ensure accuracy of agreements.

Job description

Essential Responsibilities
  • Drafting and maintenance of various contract agreements: Purchase agreements, Master Consumable Agreements, Service Policy, Installation Set Up and Training, etc.
  • Responsible for negotiation of contract agreements and on-going administration of the contract agreements.
  • Maintain and keep accurate Tracking Logs for USL instruments, state licenses, leases and other logs as needed.
  • Responsible for the creation of Renewal contracts, which are to be sent to the customer ninety (90) days before the contract expiration and follow up with the customer at approximately sixty (60) days, thirty (30) days and at expiration.
  • Work with Legal and Sales to review to review and edit various agreements such as: GPO Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.
  • Provide support to Legal in review of non-instrument issues such as leases, coupon (creation of), legal research, state and federal compliance issues, etc.
  • Responsible for creating contract agreements (and appropriate Tracking Log) for new products as they are announced.
  • Interact and work with Legal, Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments to gain an understanding of the business environment and to ensure the contract agreements reflect current pricing and ARKRAY terms.
Knowledge and Skills
  • BA/BS degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved legal program or a BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate or a Juris Doctorate degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of business experience, preferably in contracts administration.
  • Contract creation, negotiation, and administration experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, systems aptitude and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of energy and initiative.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management and sales staff.
  • Assertive and flexible.
  • Advanced PC skills a must. Proficiency in PC-based analytical tools and solid working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
  • Heavy keyboarding / PC use.
  • Occasional heavy lifting of about 25 pound.
