Job summary

Hamilton Lane seeks a Paralegal to support attorneys in the Legal Department, focusing on Hamilton Lane investment funds and corporate matters. You will assist with fund documents, regulatory filings, and governance work, while coordinating with outside counsel and internal business units.

You will prepare entity formations, manage post-closing documents, and maintain corporate records for funds and foreign registrations.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal training or certificate required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a legal environment, preferably corporate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized work approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Pro.
  • Ability to interface effectively with clients, peers and counterpar­ties.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and shift focus quickly as needed.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with fund documents, regulatory filings and corporate resolutions.
  • Prepare formation and governing documents for new entities.
  • Coordinate distribution of legal documents to investors and closings with outside counsel.
  • Communicate status and timing of closings with investors, counsel, and business units.
  • Post-closing organization and management of transaction documents.
  • Serve as point of contact for transaction documents to departments and external providers.
  • Support research and data gathering for client and prospect presentations.
  • Maintain corporate records for Hamilton Lane fund entities.
  • Prepare electronic files of closing documents for funds.
  • Prepare filings and registrations of Hamilton Lane companies in foreign countries.
  • Complete special projects as required.
