Job summary

Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd, LLC is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for our Tampa, Florida office. This on-site role supports attorneys and their teams by coordinating client meetings, drafting legal documents, and preparing for trials.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume, detail-oriented environment, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team, assisting across the litigation lifecycle from discovery to trial.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and problem solve.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to support litigation attorneys and staff.
• Experience supporting litigation teams and legal assistants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
• File summonses and complaints and coordinate service with vendors.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions.
• Track and monitor client files, calendars and provide status updates.
• Conduct extensive legal research and support trial preparation with exhibits and coordination with experts.

About us: Maune Raichle Hartley French and Mudd, LLC is a national plaintiffs’ law firm that focuses exclusively on representing victims of mesothelioma. With offices across the country and rapidly growing teams, we are dedicated to maximizing the recovery of our deserving clients.

What we’re looking for: Our Tampa, Florida office is seeking to hire a litigation paralegal to support attorneys and their teams by performing client meetings, legal drafting, and other relevant legal activities in preparation for trials. We are looking for energetic, driven, detail-oriented people for this on-site position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial;
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents;
• File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service;
• Prepare discovery requests and responses;
• Coordinate and schedule depositions;
• Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates;
• Perform extensive internal and on-line legal research (court rules and procedures);
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.
