Leoforce is recruiting for a Paralegal in Tampa, FL for a national civil litigation firm focusing on mesothelioma cases. The role offers a salary of $70,000–$75,000 per year and involves assisting attorneys through all phases of litigation, drafting pleadings, filing documents, and coordinating discovery and depositions.

Ideal candidates are highly organized with strong computer and written communication skills, and can work independently as well as in a team to handle high-volume,

Qualifications

• Paralegal degree or certificate required.
• 3–5 years of paralegal experience preferred; product liability or personal injury a plus.
• Must have strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents.
• File summonses and complaints and coordinate service with vendors.
• Prepare discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate and schedule depositions and manage calendars.
• Track client files and provide status updates.

Job Description

Experience: Mid Level

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year

Day to Day

• Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation from onset through trial;
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, authorizations, interrogatories, transmittal letters, and other legal documents;
• File summonses and complaints, and work with vendors to effectuate service;
• Prepare discovery requests and responses;
• Coordinate and schedule depositions;
• Track and monitor client files, calendars, and provide status updates;
• Perform extensive internal and on-line legal research (court rules and procedures);
• Assist with trial preparation, including trial binders, exhibits, coordinate with experts, opposing counsel, and court staff.

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills;
