Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a Paralegal to support state fair hearing projects, including file review and updating hearing databases. The role involves triaging incoming mail such as requests, motions, and orders to ensure timely actions in line with federal and state requirements.

You will process incoming mail to support team objectives and compliance, and assist the lead attorney with other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience including 3+ years in litigation.
• Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare is helpful.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and concepts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and database data entry.
• Extensive computer use for reviewing and generating electronic documents.

Triage incoming mail such as state fair hearing requests, motions, orders, and other mail to ensure matters are addressed timely and within federal and state requirements. Process incoming mail as needed to support team objectives and ensure compliance. Assist lead attorney with other projects as needed.

Skills

3 to 5 years of related work experience, including at least 3 years’ experience with litigation matters. Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare helpful. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and concepts. Strong skills working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and general skills working in databases for data entry. Must be able to perform tasks that include extensive use of the computer for reviewing electronic documents, generating electronic documents, and entering data into databases.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an American Bar Assoc. approved Institution required.
