Job summary

Easton Motors is seeking a detail‑oriented Paralegal to support outside counsel and the legal supervisor with document prep, research, and case management. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, excellent organization, and confidentiality.

You will draft routine pleadings, review statutes and case law, organize files, assist with trial preparation, and maintain accurate time records. A paralegal certificate and 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred; associate degree

  • Strong understanding of legal language and procedures.
  • Ability to perform research and analyze legal sources.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Drafts routine pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files pleadings according to procedures.
  • Analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, and judicial decisions; provides written analysis to the legal team.
  • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, evidence, depositions, pleadings, and exhibits.
  • Assists legal team with trial preparation and may attend trials/hearings.
  • Develops and maintains records of hours spent on specific cases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Paralegal will assist outside legal counsel and legal supervisor by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review.

POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings, and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures
  • Analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to legal team
  • Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items
  • Assists legal team with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings
  • Develops and maintains records regarding hours spent on specific cases
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Education:
  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required - equivalent work experience will be considered in leu of degree.

  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience strongly preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
  • Paralegal certificate required
