Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Paralegal to ensure compliance within Consumer Documents supporting sales, marketing, and operations. The role requires researching, gathering and analyzing information while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

Under the VP, Counsel I, the position drafts and implements documents for compliance. The role is hybrid: in-office Mon-Tue-Wed; Thu-Fri remote.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or two-year certificate required; paralegal degree/certificate preferred.
  • Research, interpret, and apply statutes, codes, and regulatory rules relevant to Travel + Leisure products.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting legal research using online tools and resources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hospitality/Property management experience is a plus.
  • Vacation ownership knowledge is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of paralegal or regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, draft, revise, and coordinate implementation of required Consumer Documents.
  • Perform legal research on federal, state, and local statutes and governing documents.
  • Maintain information to preserve accurate records.
  • Collaborate with Consumer Documents team on projects and coordinate with team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

This Paralegal has responsibility for achieving and maintaining compliance within Consumer Documents in support of Travel + Leisure sales, marketing, and business operations. The role requires researching, gathering and analyzing information, maintaining confidentiality, establishing priorities, anticipating needs, and taking initiative to meet deadlines. The candidate must understand legal directives from counsel, manage complex projects, and provide proactive solutions to partners. The position interacts with other Travel + Leisure employees, regulatory agencies, and outside legal counsel.

The role is held under the supervision of the Vice President, Counsel I. It involves drafting, reviewing, and implementing documents necessary to ensure all required legal and regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained within the areas of responsibility. The position is hybrid: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday in office; Thursday, Friday remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with in‑house counsel to prepare, draft, revise, and coordinate implementation of required Consumer Documents.
  • Perform legal research, including review of federal, state, and local statutes and applicable governing documents.
  • Maintain required information to preserve accurate records.
  • Work as part of the Consumer Documents team on projects assigned by supervisor and coordinate with other team members on related documents or projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree or two‑year technical certificate required; paralegal degree, certificate, or Legal Assistant certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and apply statutes, codes, and regulatory rules applicable to Travel + Leisure products.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate diverse responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience conducting legal research using online tools, internet resources, and other reference materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of vacation ownership regimes, drafting, and recording processes is a plus.
  • Experience in hospitality and/or property management preferred.
  • Consumer finance, real estate, and/or title experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal or in a regulatory compliance role.
