Job summary

Krause Estate Planning & Elder Law Center is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Wisconsin team. This role will handle probate, estate, and trust administration files, analyze asset data, draft inventories and accountings, and ensure timely filings.

You will maintain billing accuracy, communicate with clients about case progress, and coordinate with financial institutions on asset transfers. The position requires organization, integrity, and a client-first mindset, with opportunities

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of Paralegal experience; experience in Estate Planning and Probate is strongly preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate is preferred
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional presence with integrity and a client-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage probate, estate, and trust administration files.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize client and decedent asset data.
  • Draft legal documents and reports including inventories, accountings, and funding summaries.
  • Maintain accurate billing and meet productivity expectations.
  • Regularly communicate with clients regarding case status, next steps, and follow-ups.
  • Record deeds and facilitate communication with financial institutions regarding asset transfers.
  • Meet internal and court deadlines; ensure documentation is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Schedule and attend client meetings; assist in document signings and notarization.
  • Track case progress using digital systems and maintain detailed file notes.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Paralegal I team members to support their skill development.
  • Proactively pursue opportunities for professional growth through continuing legal education (CLEs), relevant certifications, and skill enhancement initiatives

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is an office-based role that will work Monday through Friday at our Oregon, WI location during regular business hours.
